Flat Tire Repairs

A flat tire doesn’t have to ruin your day. If you need tire repair, our tire experts can get you back on the road quickly and safely. Every repair service will meet the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) guidelines for safe and effective tire repairs.

Tire Rotations & Balancing

As normal tire wear occurs over time, one or more of your tires may wear quicker than the others. To ensure even wear and maximize tire lifespan, regular tire rotations are critical. We recommend tire rotation at the 5,000-mile mark for new tires. Then, a schedule of every 6,000 to 8,000 miles is recommended past the tires’ initial 5,000 miles.

We also offer professional tire balancing services. This will correct vibrations you may be feeling in the steering wheel or floorboard at high speeds, as well as an uneven cupped wear pattern on your tires.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Services

Underinflated tires are the leading cause of tire failures. Because of this, during tire service, we’ll inspect your tires and ensure each one is at the correct pressure. We also specialize in TPMS repairs and services. Your vehicle’s Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is what monitors the tire pressure and will alert you if one becomes low.

Tire Shop FAQs

What are the best ways to protect the life of my tires?

A new set of tires can be a sizable investment. There are ways to protect that investment and also protect your safety. All quality tire stores recommend that you:

  1. Keep the tires properly inflated
  2. Get the tires rotated every 5,000 miles
  3. Have the tires aligned and balanced twice a year

Many tire repairs result from neglecting worn tires. These above tasks are part of any good tire shop preventative maintenance program, so don’t put them off.

What is normal wear on tires?

Normal wear for a tire is even wear of tread depth all the way around the tire and from side to side. Safe tread depth is more than 1/16 inch deep. This can be assessed by inserting a penny into the tread with Lincoln’s head toward the tire. If the top of his head is visible, it’s time to replace the tire.

Feel free to seek advice from BRAKEmax if you’re unsure whether your tires are in top condition. Make an appointment at our Marana location with our technicians.

What signs of tire wear should I look for?

In addition to checking tread depth as described above, signs of tire wear include:

  • Cracks in a sidewall
  • Bulges or blister-type spots
  • Embedded foreign objects
  • Visible wear indicators in the tread

These issues should be addressed as quickly as possible. Set an appointment today

Can I use different types of tires on my car at the same time?

Most tire experts don’t recommend it. Mixing tire brands or different models of tires can cause instability in handling the car. If replacing only two tires, it is recommended that the new tires be installed on the rear of the car and the older rear tires be moved to the front. All four tires should be all-radial or all bias-ply, if at all possible. They should have the same speed ratings and the same tread pattern. Our technicians can give you more information about the type of tires that are best for your car or truck.

Is it safe to drive with a bulge in a tire?

No—bubbles or bulges in a tire are usually the result of impact on the road. Hitting a pothole, a curb, or even a speed bump can cause the sidewall to form a bubble. Since it bulges where the rubber has worn thin anyway, it’s time to replace the tire. Continuing to drive with a bulge can result in the blowout of the tire.

What tires does BRAKEmax sell?

BRAKEmax sells the following tire brands: Dunlop, Goodyear, Goodrich, Michelin, Toyo, and Bridgestone Tires, as well as several from other major tire manufacturers. BRAKEmax offers this low-price promise: We will not be undersold! As you shop for tires, if you find a lower price, bring it in and we will match it!
